Our Story
Sunrise Billing Service began in 1998 when Dawn launched the company as a medical billing service with a simple but powerful mission: to truly care for her clients, not just provide a product. From the very beginning, she believed the business should be about people first — building genuine relationships, lifting up the practices she served, and treating every client like family.
When Michele joined Dawn shortly after, the two were using a practice management software that Dawn was also selling to her billing customers. While the software itself was wonderful, Dawn and Michele felt the support and care behind it didn't rise to the level their clients deserved. Their customers needed more — not just a great product, but a team standing behind it who truly cared about their success.
That realization sparked something bigger. Dawn and Michele recognized a deeper need in the industry and set out to fill it themselves. From that vision, Sunrise's very own practice management software was born — designed from the ground up with our customers at the center of every decision, and backed by the heartfelt support that has always defined who we are.
Twenty-seven years later, that commitment hasn't wavered. We thank the good Lord every day for the incredible journey He's blessed us with, and for the wonderful community of billing clients and practice management customers who have walked alongside us through the years. Their trust is a gift we never take for granted — and something we pour our hearts into earning, every single day.
Now, we're looking ahead with excitement and gratitude. We're preparing to launch Sunrise 2.0 — a fully reimagined version of our practice management software, built to carry our clients confidently into the future. Whether it's the next 27 years or beyond, we love what we do, we cherish the people we get to do it with, and we're just getting started.
